Mommies Night Out

The episode, “Mommies Night Out”, from Mommy in Manhattan™, has been adapted for the stage by Bekah Brunstetter, in conjunction with the show’s original writers and creators, Alixx Schottland & Alyssa Schottland-Bauman.

The play follows five tight friends during a night out celebrating their best friend’s birthday at the city’s hottest nightclub. The predicaments each woman encounters throughout the evening are a mere glimpse into their true selves, feelings, needs, desires, emotions and insecurities. From the mom who juggles the demands of an emotional 7-year old, an unforgiving boss, inattentive husband and run-in with an ex boyfriend, to the loneliness of the stay-at-home mother caught having an affair in the bathroom, the single cougar desperate to be a mom, to the harsh realities of raising children in a same sex marriage, “Mommies Night Out” reveals the juicy issues modern women face. It might even leave you questioning your own relationships. The play discloses the raw, dishy and the sometimes glamorous side of motherhood and womanhood today. “Mommies Night Out” is not only funny, uplifting and sexy, but also gritty and in-your-face real.
