About the Music

The film’s inherently musical narrative structure provides a natural platform to involve established musical talent as well as emerging artists and homeless street buskers. As in “Fame” and “Star is Born”, “Love Music Shelter” offers the opportunity to create a killer soundtrack.

Check out some of the artists Alixx has met in and around New York City who she is hoping to have featured in the film below!

LOVE MUSIC SHELTER shares similar visual and musical elements to films such as Fame, A Star is Born, Once, and Begin Again. In its depiction of living in a rough urban landscape and overcoming hardship, it also shares some of the elements and gravitas of movies like The Hate You Give and Precious.

We are lucky to feature some outstanding up-and-coming artists in our short film version of LOVE MUSIC SHELTER. Read more about the short film HERE and check out some of our featured songs and artists below.
